The Austrian Audio OC18 Dual Set Plus set is a professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone set with a capsule which is based on the famous CK12 known from a number of studio classics from another "Austrian brand" if you know what we mean!

Austrian Audio's microphones are handcrafted in the heart of Vienna, the city of music. The OC18 a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid polar pattern, -10dB and -20dB pads, and a 3-position, switchable highpass filter. You can use the OC18 on any sound source with highly professional results. Austrian Audio microphones are tested with state-of-the-art measurement systems and are accurately matched to within 1dB. This means you can use your OC18s perfectly for critical stereo applications and be assured of stunning results!

The proprietary superior handmade CKR12 capsule is the heart of the microphone. Consistent with a fixed cardioid polar pattern, this OC18 uses the single-diaphragm version of the CKR12 capsule, which - in conjunction with the microphone's custom electronic circuitry - delivers excellent results when used for vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, drum overheads, strings, brass, percussion and room capture. With 148dB maximum SPL capability - further increased by the addition of selectable -10dB and -20dB pads - also makes it ideal for louder sources such as tom toms and electric guitar cabinets.

The microphone is thus fundamentally a simple version of the OC818 large-diaphragm condenser microphone. The handcrafted OC18 shines with its recognizable, transparent sound that performs superbly both in the studio and in loud live environments.
