D'addario is the right choice if you are looking for a clear "brightness" and when prefer a powerful string tension. With the hexagonal carbon steel core drawn with exceptional precision, the nickel-plated windings have a good grip resulting in a string that intonates well and stays in tune. With its distinctive brightness, D'addario strings sound like new for a relatively long time.

This "Super Light Top / Regular Bottom" set contains the following gauges: 009-011-016-026-036-046, combining the melody strings of a 009 set and the bass strings of a 010 set. EXL125s are suitable for all types of electric guitars and we recommend using this hybrid set for regular E tuning or Drop-D tunings. In other words; for those looking for flexibility for the melody strings but punch and tightness for the bass strings.
The six strings are easily distinguished by D'addario's iconic color code.
