Dear lord! Are you bad-ass enough for this one?!
Once again, the guys from Dingwall's Canadian Custom Shop have managed to build an absolute gem! This is one of the most remarkable and unique basses we have ever held in our hands. Custom built D-Roc's are most scarce to find in the wild, let alone one that is finished and spec'ed like this example.
The first thing that obviously catches your eye is the unique and fantastic "lace-paint" finish. Lace Painting is a finishing technique that known from the badd-ass easthetics of 70's muscle car's. lowriders and hot-rods (hence "Low Rider Trans Ruby & Black"). The pattern is stencilled on the surface of the bass, using a piece of lace and an airbrush finish. See pictures attached for reference.

The body of this D-Roc is made of mahogany with no pickguard. The 5-piece maple neck has a gorgeous ebony macassar fingerboard with striking red pearloid elipse inlays. The detailing of the headstock is just crazy; it has a ebony macassar cap to match the fingerboard and a body-matching finish of the bevels.
The pickups are three Dingwall Super Fatty II neodynium pickups with passive electronics. The multscale ranges from 34 to 37".
This D-Roc Custom served as a showitem at the Guitar Summit in Mannheim and has a very, VERY MINOR!!, hairline crack in the lacquer near the neckpocket. It's probably invisable if you wouldn't know where to look. Nevertheless, we took €150,- off the sale price because of it.
This bass comes with a deluxe Dingwall soft case.
