The Evans EC2S series features 2 layers of 7mil with optimized attack, tone, sustain and tuning ease for each head. The Sound Shaping Technology (SST) Edge Control ring on the underside provides a well-balanced and pre-EQ'd sound for each shell, by varying the size of the ring for each size drumhead.
Evans 360 technology is applied to improve a "level playing surface".
