Fender Pugilist V2 Distortion

The Pugilist V2 is anything but a standard distortion pedal. Its compact housing contains two fully independent distortion circuits, allowing you to create an impressive range of powerful and characterful gain tones.

Both distortion engines feature their own footswitch and separate Gain, Tone, and Level controls. This allows you to set two distinctly different distortion characters: Engine A delivers a clear, overtone-rich lead drive with great definition, while Engine B provides a thicker, heavier distortion with extra body and punch.

The true power of the Pugilist V2 lies in the Path switch. This allows you to route the two distortion circuits through three different signal paths, causing them to interact in unique ways and produce rich, harmonic saturation.

In the two Series modes, the circuits are connected in series, allowing you to stack layers of distortion like different channels on an amplifier. Using the footswitches, you can effortlessly switch to a higher gain level for increasingly intense, layered distortion.

Parallel mode allows both circuits to operate side by side. This lets you precisely blend and balance the two tonal characters using the level controls, for a perfect combination of clarity, definition, and powerful distortion.

In addition, the Pugilist V2 features global Bass Boost and Mid Cut switches for additional tone shaping. With a choice between true bypass and buffered bypass, multiswitch functionality for both momentary and latching operation, and a rugged aluminum enclosure, this pedal is built for both the stage and the studio.
