Fender Santa Ana V2 Overdrive

The Santa Ana V2 is a high-quality Class-A overdrive pedal based on JFET technology, which operates internally at 18 volts. This allows it to deliver the dynamics, response, and ample headroom that guitarists associate with a hard-driven Fender tube amplifier, and even more.

At the heart of the Santa Ana V2 is an overdrive circuit with two distinct tone characters. The Voice switch lets you choose between a tight, natural overdrive (Voice A) and a fuller, smoother lead tone with extra sustain (Voice B). The Drive and Tone controls offer extensive options for precisely tuning the desired amount of gain and clarity. In addition, the Tight switch on the back provides a tighter and more focused overdrive by reducing low frequencies before they enter the drive circuit.

For even more control over your sound, the Santa Ana V2 features a fully independent and switchable 3-band equalizer. With active Bass, Middle, and Treble controls, you can boost or cut frequencies, with the middle position indicating the neutral setting. Thanks to the EQ Placement switch, the EQ can be placed either before or after the overdrive circuit. When placed before the drive, the EQ influences which frequencies are distorted the most, while placement after the drive primarily serves to shape the final tone of the overdriven signal.

With its refined JFET drive circuit, flexible EQ section, switchable true bypass and buffered bypass modes, and support for both momentary and latching footswitches, the Santa Ana V2 is an extremely versatile overdrive that puts a wide range of tones at your fingertips.
