Fender The Bends V2 Compressor

The Bends V2 combines a high-quality compressor with a transparent boost in a single, intuitive pedal. Thanks to an advanced analog compression circuit featuring a unique application of OTA technology, the compressor responds extremely naturally to your playing style. The result is a perfectly balanced volume between soft and loud passages, with extra sustain, definition, and body for both guitar and bass.

The controls are straightforward and effective. The three-position Attack switch lets you determine how quickly the compression responds, while the Release control provides precise control over the decay of the effect. The Input control sets the compressor’s input level, thereby determining how heavily the signal is compressed.

To further refine your sound, the Bends V2 features an active Tone control that allows you to boost or cut high frequencies. The Blend control mixes the original, uncompressed signal back into the mix, allowing you to find the perfect balance between natural dynamics and controlled compression.

The secret weapon of this pedal is the Vintage switch on the back. This allows you to change the character of the compressor from tight, modern, and extremely precise to a warmer, more musical compression with subtle natural saturation and a classic tube-like feel.

The integrated boost function makes the pedal even more versatile. Thanks to the Comp Pre/Post switch, you can choose whether the boost is placed before or after the compressor. When used before the compressor, the boost provides extra sustain and a rich country or Nashville-style tone. After the compressor, the boost acts as a powerful volume boost for solos or passages that deserve extra emphasis.

With its independent boost circuit, switchable true bypass and buffered bypass modes, and support for both momentary and latching footswitches, the Bends V2 offers everything you’d expect from a modern compressor.
