The TLM 103 is a professional studio condenser microphone. The microphone capsule is a derivative of the well-known U87 (K67/87 capsule)! This version is in the color "nickel. The microphone has a standard kidney (cardioid) characteristic. The TLM 103 has a slight presence boost (from 5 Khz) making it sound nice and direct and clear. The microphone has a very low noise floor.
The TLM103 performs great for recording vocals and solo instruments. It is a transformerless design (which is where its type number comes from: TLM - Transformer-Less Microphone).
Comes in a nice wooden case with an SG-2 swivel adapter microphone clamp. Fits any microphone stand. We recommend including a shockmount, the Neumann EA-1. And, especially with vocals, use a plop filter!
