The Positive Grid Reactor Control is the official footswitch for the Reactor 50 and Reactor 100 guitar amps. With six steel footswitches, you control presets, effects, banks, tuner and FX loop without taking your hands off your guitar. You use it wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0 or wired via the included 6.35 mm TRS cable. The expression pedal input lets you bring functions such as volume and wah directly under your foot.
Hands-free control over your Reactor amp
The Positive Grid Reactor amps are built around fast tone creation, Amp Intelligence and instant control. The Reactor Control fits right in with that. This footswitch is not a generic MIDI controller, but a controller designed specifically for the REACTOR series. As a result, you don't have to program or search for the right settings. You just plug it into your amp, choose your mode and play on. For guitarists using the Reactor live, in the rehearsal room or in the studio, this is a logical extension. You can change presets, turn effects on and off, switch the FX loop and activate the tuner while you keep playing. This makes the Reactor Control especially interesting for players who want to use the amp's smart features on stage as well.

Use wirelessly or wired
The Reactor Control can be paired wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0. This gives you freedom of movement on stage and allows for a neat setup with no extra cable between amp and controller. The wireless connection has a range of up to 17 meters at line-of-sight, depending on conditions. If you want maximum security during a performance, you can also connect the Reactor Control wired. Just use the supplied 3-meter-long 6.35 mm TRS cable. This connects to the Reactor Control jack on the back of the amplifier. The wired connection is designed for low latency and high reliability, especially in live situations where you don't want to take any chances.
Six steel footswitches
The Reactor Control has six steel footswitches. These feel sturdy and are made for floor use, rehearsals and performances. The LED indicators clearly show which preset, function or connection is active. Even on a dark stage, this allows you to quickly see what the controller is doing. The switches work in two standard modes. In Preset Mode, you use the footswitch to switch between presets and banks. In Effect Mode, you use the switches to turn on and off effects within a preset. These include gate, drive, delay, compressor, modulation and reverb. The FX loop can also be switched directly.
Preset Mode
In Preset Mode you use the Reactor Control to quickly switch between sounds. The footswitches are linked to presets and bank navigation, so you can jump directly to the right sound during a song or setlist. This is especially useful when using multiple sounds, for example clean, crunch, lead and ambient. The FX loop can also be activated from this mode. If you have placed external pedals in the effect loop of your Reactor, you can include that setup in your live operation without having to walk to the amplifier all the time.
Effect Mode
In Effect Mode, the Reactor Control becomes a direct effect switch for your amp. You can turn effects on and off within the active preset. This makes the Reactor feel more like a traditional pedalboard, but integrated with the amp and the Reactor app. This mode is useful when you want to switch within one basic sound. For example, turn on drive for a chorus, delay for a solo or reverb for a wider passage. You keep control at your feet while continuing to work within the Reactor preset structure.
Expression pedal input
On the back of the Reactor Control is a 6.35 mm TRS expression pedal input. This allows you to connect a separate expression pedal for functions such as volume and wah. By default, the expression pedal input works in Auto Mode: when wah is active, the pedal drives the wah; when wah is not active, the pedal works as a volume pedal. Through the Reactor app, you can also set the function. For example, you can permanently assign the expression pedal to volume or wah. The expression pedal itself is not included.
Rechargeable battery with long playing time
The Reactor Control has a built-in 750 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A full battery lets you play for more than 40 hours, depending on usage. Charging is via USB-C with 5V/2A power. Charging time is about 7.5 hours. Battery status is displayed with LED indicators. Green means normal operation, yellow indicates about 20 to 60 minutes of playing time left and red means less than about 20 minutes left. You can also use the Reactor Control while it is charging, so you don't have to stop when the battery dies.
Made for the Reactor Series
The Reactor Control is specifically designed for Positive Grid Reactor amplifiers. So it is not intended as a general MIDI controller and does not work as a universal foot pedal for other amplifiers or devices. That is precisely the strength of this product: everything is focused on fast, direct control within the Reactor system. For guitarists using a Reactor 50 or 100, this footswitch makes the amp more usable on stage. You need to rely less on the app or control panel on the amp, while still maintaining access to presets, effects, banks, tuner, FX loop and expression control.
Compact and pedalboard-friendly
With its compact size, the Reactor Control takes up little space on the floor or on a pedalboard. The housing is low, uncluttered and geared for immediate use. Connectors are on the back, so you can neatly hide cables.
Thanks to its weight of about 0.45 kg, the controller remains easy to carry. Included in the box, in addition to the Reactor Control, are a USB-C to USB-A charging cable and a 3-meter-long 6.35 mm TRS cable for wired connection to the amplifier.
