The GO:PIANO88 offers 40 internal presets. You get 10 piano sounds, 10 electric piano sounds, 10 organ sounds, and 10 other sounds, including a drum set. Additionally, 256 GM2 sounds are accessible via the Roland Piano App. This allows you to explore other styles in addition to piano playing, such as strings, horns, synth sounds, and accompaniment sounds. The piano sounds are designed for expressive practice and playing. For beginners, it’s nice that the controls remain simple: you can quickly select a sound and start playing right away. For those who want a bit more control, there are settings such as Ambience, Brilliance, and a rotary speaker effect for organ sounds. Piano Designer settings are also available via the Roland Piano App, such as Lid, Damper Resonance, Single Note Tuning, Single Note Volume, Temperament, and Temperament Key.

Built-in speakers and silent practice option
The built-in stereo speakers deliver 2 x 6 watts of power. That’s more than enough for practicing at home, playing along with music, or using a small lesson setup. In addition, the GO-88PX features a USB-C port for connecting to a computer or mobile device. The USB-C port is class-compliant for audio and MIDI, allowing you to use the piano with music software such as GarageBand, Roland Zenbeats, or other DAW software. This way, the GO:PIANO88 grows with you from practicing to recording and making music.

Roland Piano App and Learning Features
The free Roland Piano App for iOS and Android expands the capabilities of the GO-88PX. Through the app, you can control sounds, volume, the metronome, and other functions. You also get access to additional learning features and the 256 GM2 sounds that are only available through the app. For practicing at home, there are practical features such as a metronome, rhythm patterns, Twin Piano, transposition, and a built-in recorder. With Twin Piano, the keyboard is divided into two equal ranges, which is useful for piano lessons where the teacher and student play side by side. Runs on AC power or batteries
The Roland GO-88PX comes with an AC adapter and power cord, but can also run on batteries. With Ni-MH AA batteries, the operating time is approximately 7 hours; with alkaline AA batteries, approximately 6 hours. Batteries are not included. Carbon-zinc batteries are not suitable.
