The Roland PDX-12 is a V-Pad that can be used as a snare or tom. The surface is made of double-layered mesh skin which provides the resistance, tension, rebound and appearance of an acoustic drum kit.
Even the height of the snare dome is close to that of an acoustic snare allowing you to rim-shot from a natural angle. With two independent sensors, you get different sounds on the drumhead and rim.
