The Sennheiser e835-S is now available in a -PTT variant, "push-to-talk" !
This method, also known as "push-to-talk," is widely used in the live audio, theater, event and broadcast worlds. It provides clear and controlled communication between technicians and others involved, by only sending sound when the button is actually pressed. This prevents background noise or unwanted noise. Ideal as an intercom microphone at a "muzzle".
So the microphone transmits sound when you push up the slide (with a spring). When released, the switch automatically turns back off (because of the spring).
