Neumann has put decades of experience and research into the acoustic filters of the KMS 104 Plus. In addition to being able to handle high SPLs, the filters are designed to maintain the directivity of the microphone capsule over the entire frequency range. While many cardioid microphones become much less cardioid in the lower bass frequencies (inviting feedback), the KMS 104 Plus attenuates off-axis bass frequencies greatly.
