The legendary SM57 is a microphone that can be used for many applications. It is perfect for recording amplified instruments (guitar amps) or live amplification. Due to its cardioid nature, the SM57 reduces background noise (sound is recorded at the front). With a frequency range of 40 Hz to 15 kHz, the microphone is very suitable for mic'ing different instruments such as amplified guitar, harmonica, saxophone, brass, percussion etc.
