The Korean company Sire has made a name for itself in a short time. And not just because they’ve managed to secure a permanent partnership with none other than Marcus Miller. That’s great, but if the instruments weren’t up to par, it wouldn’t mean much. And that’s exactly where Sire nailed it; these basses are awesome! At this price point, it’s a total no-brainer. The tone is rich and very distinctive—a real treat for fans of traditional J and P sounds. The design choices (color options, headstock shape) are just distinctive enough, and the finish is top-notch.
