Tascam DR-40X

The TASCAM DR-40X is a compact recorder with professional 4-track recording capabilities, perfect for filmmakers with DSLR cameras, musicians, sound designers and podcasters looking for an easy-to-use and high-quality way to capture audio, among others.

The two built-in condenser microphones can be set in A/B or XY stereo arrangement, allowing you to easily adjust the stereo image to suit the recording situation. In addition, the recorder features two XLR/TRS combo inputs, allowing you to connect external microphones or other sound sources.

Want your TASCAM DR-40X to start recording automatically as soon as sound is detected? Then turn on the Auto Recording mode. This lets you set your own threshold: as soon as the built-in microphones or external inputs detect a signal above that threshold, recording starts automatically. Ideal for situations where you want to keep your hands free.

The TASCAM DR-40X is perfect for quickly capturing musical ideas, recording rehearsals or recording on the go. Use the built-in condenser microphones for studio-quality stereo recording. Want to use your own microphones? No problem. The DR-40X features XLR inputs with phantom power, allowing you to connect professional microphones. You can also combine the internal and external microphones for four-track recording. In addition, you can easily connect a guitar or bass directly to the recorder.
