Precision-made K67-style capsule accurately captures any source

The inspiration for the WA-8000 was a K67-style capsule, a microphone capsule with multi-pattern capability found in several of the world's most renowned tube microphones. Warm Audio reconstructed the original design, refined the frequency response and made the capsule of solid brass. The result is a responsive, highly detailed microphone that accurately captures the nuances of any source. Although the WA-8000 is destined to be your vocal microphone, it also excels on acoustic guitars, pianos and other full-spectrum instruments.

Specially designed heat sink optimizes performance

Sure, it looks great, but the WA-8000's specially designed external heat sink does much more than just add prestige to your vocal booth. The heat sink is designed to direct heat away from the microphone's tube and electronics, maintaining the ideal operating temperature and lowering the noise floor for the cleanest recordings possible. Not only that, but it also makes changing tubes a breeze, so your sessions won't grind to a halt if a tube fails.

Again striving for authenticity, Warm Audio went back to the source when selecting the tubes for the WA-8000. After testing a large number of 6AU6 tubes from different manufacturers, new, original tubes were chosen to give the WA-8000 its open tone and characteristic midrange.
