The Yamaha MG20 is an analog mixer. The mixer is feature-rich and delivers excellent sound quality. It is well suited for live sound or permanent installations. The MG20's microphone preamps ensure that your mix sounds transparent and clear. These crystal-clear D-PRE pre-amps of the MG20 make your microphones sound great, with natural lows and nice highs.

D-PRE discrete Class-A microphone preamps
The MG Series mixers use Yamaha's transparent D-PRE preamps, which deliver more power with lower impedance, delivering natural-sounding bass and smooth highs. D-PREs sound just right, without hyping up specific elements of your mix. The pure sound of the D-PRE ensures that you don't have to spend hours EQing to get a barely acceptable sound, as you would with low-quality microphone preamps.
One-button compressors
When you're in the middle of a live sound event, you don't have time to tweak a large number of complex outboard-gear units. To solve this problem, the Yamaha MG series of analog mixers features simple, time-saving one-button compressors. Just turn a single dial and you can set livelier guitars, more powerful basses, tighter drums and well-defined vocals.
EQand highpass filter
Whether you're perfecting your sound or removing unwanted frequencies, an effective and powerful EQ is necessary to create a successful mix. With equalizers on all mono channels, Yamaha MG Series mixers give you ample control over the tonal balance of your mix. In addition, a high-pass filter allows you to remove all mud from your mix by eliminating unwanted noise in the low frequencies.
