The PSR-E583 features 890 sounds, compared to 860 sounds on the PSR-E483. In addition, the PSR-E583 offers more Super Articulation Lite Voices, making instruments respond to your playing in even more detail. You'll notice this difference especially with solo instruments and expressive parts. When it comes to sound, the PSR-E583 also delivers more. At 12W + 12W, the built-in amplification is significantly more powerful than the PSR-E483's 6W + 6W, providing more volume and headroom. This makes the PSR-E583 more suitable for use in larger rooms or during performances.
In terms of controls, the PSR-E583 offers additional expression possibilities thanks to the addition of a modulation wheel. This allows you to further shape sounds in real time. In addition, this model supports a volume foot controller, giving extra control while playing. These features are missing from the PSR-E483.
Due to more powerful amplification, the PSR-E583 is slightly heavier than the PSR-E483. In return, you get a keyboard that is better equipped for live situations and players who want maximum control.
Summary:
The PSR-E483 is an excellent choice for home use and practice, while the PSR-E583 stands out with more tones, more expression and a more powerful sound for live applications.
