Austrian Audio DMK1

The Austrian Audio DMK1 is assembled to harness the full potential of Austrian Audio drum microphones. This set combines eight (hand-built) microphones with accessories and a waterproof touring case. This gives technicians and drummers full control over every detail of the drum kit: from the subtle shimmer of the hi-hat to the deep, powerful impact of the OC-B6 bass drum microphone.

The DMK1 is the only drum microphone set on the market with three different large-diaphragm condenser microphones. This results in unprecedented sound depth, uniform sound and clear reproduction across the entire drum kit, both live and in the studio. This is truly a highly professional audio drum kit.

About the microphones:

Austrian Audio OC-B6 - Bass Drum
A groundbreaking large-diaphragm condenser bass drum microphone designed for sound pressures up to 170 dB SPL without distortion. The integrated subsonic filter at 25 Hz removes unwanted low resonances, while the 220° swivel microphone capsule offers maximum freedom of positioning. The result is tight, powerful bass reproduction with full control, with no preset sound correction.

Austrian Audio CC8 - Hi-Hat
A cardioid true condenser that accurately captures every nuance of the hi-hat. The hand-built OCC7 capsule and transformerless output ensure an open high, a balanced middle and very fast transient response, even at high SPL. The sound remains clear and tight, instantly usable in any mix.

Austrian Audio OC7 - Toms
A true condenser tom microphone with fast response, wide frequency range and reliable SPL processing. The OCC7 capsule combined with the 220° swivel head delivers a clear attack and full body. The compact design makes placement easy, even in densely built drum sets. The sound remains powerful and natural, with professional control.

Austrian Audio OC18 - Overheads
A cardioid true condenser for overhead applications with an open and spacious character. The CKR6 capsule and open acoustic design provide airy high frequencies, solid lows and a stable stereo image. With switchable pad and high-pass filter, this microphone effortlessly adapts to different setups.

Austrian Audio OD5 - Snare
An active dynamic snare microphone with tight attack and controlled crosstalk from the hi-hat. The ODC50 capsule delivers a focused punch and high headroom, suitable for both stage use and studio recording. The 220° swivel head makes it easy to quickly find the right spot on the sheet. The snare sound remains powerful, clear and consistent.
