Concert: Slightly larger than the soprano, resulting in a fuller sound and greater volume. It offers more playing space on the fretboard and is often considered the ideal intermediate size for beginners. The concert ukulele uses the same tuning as the soprano (G-C-E-A), but has a longer scale length of approximately 38.5 cm (15"). Due to this longer scale length and larger soundbox, the concert ukulele produces more volume and a slightly deeper, rounder tone than the soprano.
