Korala builds ukuleles for both the beginner and advanced player, with a strong focus on good value for money.
The UKC-110 is a concert ukulele made entirely of sapele wood. This type of wood comes from the interior of Africa and is related to mahogany. Sapele produces a similar warm sound, but with just a little more clarity in the treble. The ukulele is equipped with guitar mechanisms and a CITES-free hardwood fingerboard with position dots. The instrument has a matte finish and with all these specifications, it offers an excellent ukulele at an attractive price.
Concert: Slightly larger than the soprano, resulting in a fuller sound and more volume. It offers more playing space on the fingerboard and is often considered the ideal intermediate size for beginners. The concert ukulele uses the same tuning as the soprano (G-C-E-A), but has a longer scale of about 38.5cm (15"). Because of that longer scale and larger sound box, the concert ukulele produces more volume and a slightly deeper, rounder sound than the soprano.
