The Fender Vintage Custom '57 Precision Bass. The iconic design that has set the standard for the electric bass guitar for decades, both on stage and on countless legendary recordings. This classic model year introduced some features that are now inseparable from the instrument: the famous split-double humbucker pickup, the large Strat-style headstock and the 3-color Sunburst finish.
Back in time
The body consists of two carefully selected pieces of alder and is finished with an NOS lacquer coating. The neck consists of one piece of quarter-sawn maple and features the '57 "soft V" profile, a 7.25-inch fingerboard radius and 20 medium vintage frets.
The hand-wound '57 P-Bass pickup delivers the characteristic, deep vintage bass "thump" and is controlled by a master volume and tone control. Other features include a historically correct single-ply gold anodized pickguard, a vintage-style bass bridge with four saddles, vintage-style tuners, a bone nut and a disc string tree.
Comes with a Deluxe Fender Custom Shop hardshell case, guitar strap and a certificate of authenticity.
