The Made in Japan Traditional series was derived by fusing Fender's traditional instrument-making aesthetics with sophisticated Japanese craftsmanship. Fender's orthodox DNA is revived with certain Made in Japan quality.
Made in Japan Traditional '50s Telecaster® Limited Run Texas Special adopts a gloss finish basswood body, a Sonic Blue color not found in the regular model, and a Tortoiseshell pickguard. In addition, by adopting Custom Shop Texas Special Single-Coil Tele for the pickup that is the cornerstone of the sound, it outputs a sound with a more powerful midrange.
A 9.5 inch radius "U" shape maple neck equipped with 21 vintage style frets provides classical playability unique to the Traditional series. A vintage-style Sting-Through-Body bridge with 3 brass saddles and original pickups selected for the Traditional series deliver realistic and musical vintage tones. Solid guitar craftsmanship and flexible answers to player needs are reflected in this series.
