The BCM 104 is designed to convey emotion perfectly. Its distinctive shape is functionally optimized for use with standard microphone boom arms. Thanks to the elastic mount, the BCM 104 is well protected from construction noise. An integrated pop screen behind the headgrille protects the capsule from air bumps and plosives. For more hygiene, the head grille can be easily unscrewed for quick cleaning

The BCM 104's large-diaphragm condenser capsule captures every nuance of your voice without coloration or unwanted artifacts. The BCM 104's electronic circuitry has an extremely low self-noise of just 7 dB-A and can handle huge sound pressure levels of up to 138 dB without distortion. The balanced output operates without a transformer to ensure minimal hum interference and high common mode suppression against external signals, e.g. from computer screens. A subsonic filter suppresses frequencies below 20 Hz. For close-speech operation, an optional 100 Hz low cut is available to compensate for the proximity effect. A second switch activates a preattenuation of -14 dB to reduce the output level of the BCM 104 for use with equipment designed for dynamic microphones (which typically have much lower sensitivity than condenser microphones). Both switches are hidden inside the microphone, since the low cutout and preattenuation options are usually selected only once at installation. The BCM 104 has a fixed cardioid pattern with excellent backward noise suppression. The frequency response is very linear with a slight presence boost around 4 kHz and a slight treble boost above 10 kHz for improved speech intelligibility. Because of its excellent transient response, the BCM 104 captures every nuance of the human voice with stunning detail.
