Nord Electro 7 HP

The long-awaited Nord Electro 7 has arrived, once again taking the well-known Electro line to the next level. Each new generation builds on a rock-solid reputation, and this seventh edition takes another clear step forward. The Electro 7 features updated Piano, Organ, Synth and Effect sections, physical drawbars with LED indicators and a new color display. Thanks to Live Mode and the push encoder, selecting and adjusting programs is quick and easy.

The Nord Electro 7 is available in several versions: with 61 or 73 semi-weighted waterfall keys, or with a 73-key hammer-action keyboard. Whichever version you choose, you always get a slim, lightweight and robust body designed for intensive use on stage. With signature Nord sounds and extensive effects, the Electro 7 is suitable for both live performances and studio work.

Legendary Nord organ section on board
Since the introduction of the first combo organ, Nord has been known for its strong focus on sound, playing feel and direct control. The Electro 7's organ section is based on the acclaimed Nord Organ 3 and offers extensive options for realistic and expressive organ sounds. Among other things, you get updated transistor organ models, Rotary Speaker emulation with selectable microphone positions, and separate Slow/Fast and Stop controls. Vibrato and Chorus are independently adjustable for upper and lower manual, which is an important addition especially for organ players. The physical drawbars allow you to directly influence your sound as you play.

Powerful features for stage and studio
Nord has equipped the Electro 7 with features that make both live playing and recording easier. The large color display gives at-a-glance insight into settings, effects and layers. You can easily create splits and layers between organ, piano and sample sections. The redesigned Synth section offers extensive control over sample playback, analog and FM synthesis, mono and legato modes, glide and unison. There is also a filter with resonance and FM partials, an ADR envelope for amp and filter, and synth vibrato. The Piano section has also been expanded with Dynamic Compression and Unison modes. The Effects section has been revamped with additional controls for Ring Modulator, Rate/Amount and Vibe. The compressor can be used per section or globally, while the reverb works globally with a separate send per layer. New amp models, including Suitcase and Brit, complete the sound palette.

The Nord Electro 7 HP has a slim, lightweight and tour-resistant body and is hand-built in Sweden. At Nord, HP stands for Hammer Portable.

Hammer: the keyboard has a weighted hammer action, intended to approximate the playing feel of an acoustic piano
Portable: lighter and more compact in design than full hammer-action models (such as HA), making the instrument easier to transport

In short, HP models combine a piano feel with a more portable size, and are between fully weighted (HA) and semi-weighted keyboards in terms of touch.
