Nord Stage 4 73

The Nord Stage 4 is the successor to the Nord Stage 3. The new Stage 4 has simpler and intuitive controls, Triple sensor keyboard on all versions and a much more comprehensive effects processor. This new Nord Stage 4 is now even more attractive than its predecessor!

This Nord Stage 4 73 has a fully weighted, 88-key Triple Sensor keyboard (range E-E) with aftertouch. The NS4 73 comes with manual, power cord and USB cable. The weight of the Nord Stage 4-73 is only 16.7 kg.

A New Experience:
The Nord Stage 4 has a brand new panel design with dedicated LED faders for each Layer/Split This provides a good overview and makes working with layers and splits even easier and more comprehensive. The new Preset Library is packed with inspiring ready-to-play Piano, Synth and Organ sounds for quick and smooth patch creation.
The Layer Scene lets you seamlessly switch between two different sound setups at the touch of a button. The Nord Stage 4 offers a new level of musical expression by including the addition of a powerful new Effect section coupled with versatile pedal options and a premium Triple Sensor keyboard.

Piano
The extensive range of Piano / E.piano and Clavinet samples within the Nord library is already impressive. Add to this the Nord Stage 4's unique triple sensor keyboard and the piano experience is complete. Adding faders for use with layers and splits, the unison mode and dynamic compressor are welcome extras.

Synth
The Synth section, with three independent Layers, is based on the powerful Nord Wave 2 Synth Engine, including virtual analog synthesis, samples, FM and Digital Waves. An extensive new collection of samples from the Nord Sample Library offers a wide sonic palette of strings, bass, choirs, guitars and more. The advanced Arpeggiator has new Polyphonic, Gate and Pattern modes and can be used for a huge variety of rhythmic applications with customizable patterns. Last but not least, with the Nord Stage 4 the sample memory has been doubled to 960MB.

Organ:
All Nord Stage 4 models now have digital and physical drawbars. The LED drawbars allow one to see with each memory how the drawbars were when they were stored. The physical drawbars allow the user to quickly and smoothly adjust their organ sound. In addition to the already highly praised B3 Tonewheel, Vox, Farfisa and Pipe organ simulations, one now also has the option of selecting a Leslie 122 model with closed or open microphone settings. For the true B3 enthusiast, there is now also the Organ Bass mode.

Effects:
With the Stage 3, the 6 effect groups could be set separately for Panel A and B. With the Nord Stage 4, each sound group and each layer and split has its own 6 effect groups. A powerful new DSP chip makes this possible and gives the user a lot of extra possibilities when it comes to refining his sounds. New effects have also been added such as the Spring & Cathedral Reverb and the necessary tempo-controlled pump / modulation and spinning effects.

Pedals:
String Resonance and Pedal noise until now could only be generated via the Nord Triple Pedal. This is now also possible with the new Nord Single pedal. Furthermore, these pedals work with a very sensitive laser sensor. In addition to the sostenuto and sustain effect at the triple pedal, the middle pedal can be assigned to multiple functions such as Pump Effect, Layer Scene on/or, Program change, Rotor Speed and others.
