The Pioneer Pro DJ PLX-1000 direct-drive turntable offers the kind of performance that keeps DJs coming back to their classic rigs. The high-torque platter comes up to speed and is stable in less than a third of a second, making hot starts and scratches as accurate as any turntable seen at Klundert Music. Three tempo ranges and a reset button make beatmatching incredibly flexible. Innovative tone arm
A curved tone arm in an "S" shape was chosen. This choice was made to allow the needle to enter the groove as straight as possible, minimizing the occurrence of background noise. The tone arm itself is completely covered on the inside with rubber which prevents the so-called "squeaking". To set the platform in motion, a powerful 3-phase motor was chosen. This motor has a torque of no less than 4.5 kg/cm when started and can reach the desired speed in 0.3 seconds. Of course, it is possible to run the PLX-1000 at either 33.3 or 45 rpm.Stability and damping
A major problem with turntables is their sensitivity to vibration. Pioneer recognized this and developed a clever solution for this. The top platform of the turntable is made of a heavy metal. This top platform rests on an anti-vibration material. This anti-vibration material then rests on the PLX's solid base plate. The result is a turntable that is not susceptible to vibration, which is especially important in live use.Specifications:
