Rode NTG-4+

This Røde NTG4+ is a condenser directional microphone based on the Rode NTG2. However, it possesses an updated condenser capsule characterized by very low noise and high sensitivity. Most notable is its built-in battery, which allows you to make 150 hours of uninterrupted audio recordings without having to use phantom power (which is possible, by the way). In the XLR output is a USB connection, for fully charging the battery within two hours. Nice!

With its high-quality supercardioid capsule, this shotgun microphone picks up sound in a very focused and detailed way, making it suitable for professional sound recording. Should the source be too loud, use the PAD knob, which lowers the sensitivity by 10 dB. There is also a solution for disturbing sounds at low frequencies in the form of the high pass switch; press this button and everything below 75 Hz is filtered out. The NTG4+ sends the sound via the XLR output in broadcast quality to your camera or mixer. Thanks to the presence of a battery, these do not need phantom power. Handy!

Note! With Red microphones, it is normal for one of the XLR pins (the ground) to protrude a bit.
