The Sennheiser MD 42 is a professional omni-directional microphone designed specifically for use in demanding situations such as live reporting and broadcast environments. Thanks to its omni-directional characteristic, the MD 42 picks up sound evenly from all directions. You then get a good impression of the soundstage of the situation you are recording in. The source (voice) and ambient sound are then reproduced realistically.
This microphone is known for its excellent speech intelligibility. The housing is extra long and fits comfortably in the hand. In addition, wind and handling noises are kept to a minimum, making it particularly suitable for outdoor recording or use in motion. The microphone is finished in black with a sound basket made of black refined steel, providing a professional look and extra strength.
