DSP with FIR-X tuning and Drive Motion Calibration
The DXR15mk3 uses internal DSP processing at 96 kHz. This processing helps keep the sound clear, controlled and accurate. Yamaha's Advanced FIR-X Tuning uses linear phase FIR filters for the crossover network and correction EQ. This makes the LF and HF drivers more closely matched and reduces phase distortion around the crossover point. Drive Motion Calibration corrects the movement of the LF driver via a proprietary DSP algorithm. The 15-inch woofer tracks the input signal more accurately, keeping the low end tighter and more linear. This is especially important in DJ applications, live bands and situations where lots of low frequencies are needed without making the sound woolly.

Easy control via LCD screen and D-Remote app
On the back of the Yamaha DXR15mk3 is a clear LCD screen with encoder. This lets you quickly adjust settings such as presets, PEQ, delay and routing. You can store up to eight user presets, so you can quickly recall settings for fixed locations, bands or applications. Bluetooth lets you stream audio and control the speaker wirelessly with the D-Remote app for iOS and Android. The app gives access to level, delay, equalizer, crossover, feedback suppression, ducker, identification, panel lock and scenes, among others. Suitable as a PA speaker, monitor and installation speaker
The Yamaha DXR15mk3 has DSP modes for different applications. FOH/MAIN is intended for use as a main speaker and gives a full sound with clear high and low frequencies. MONITOR is tuned for use as a floor monitor and helps reduce excess bass when the speaker is on the floor. The AUTO V/H POSITION function uses an internal accelerometer to recognize the position of the speaker. This allows the DXR15mk3 to automatically choose the correct setting for vertical or monitor use. The symmetrical enclosure makes the speaker suitable for mirror mounting as a floor monitor. The dual tripod flange offers placement at 0° or with a downward tilt of -7°, allowing you to better direct the sound to the audience.

Enclosure for transport and installation
The Yamaha DXR15mk3's enclosure is made of plastic and designed for regular transport, stage use and installation. The speaker has two side handles, a 35 mm tripod flange and multiple mounting points. For fixed mounting, an optional UB-DXR15A U-bracket is available. This allows the DXR15mk3 to be mounted vertically or horizontally to wall or ceiling.
