The Yamaha PSR-E583 is the more comprehensive version within the PSR-E series and is designed for players seeking maximum control, power and expression. This 61-key keyboard builds on the foundation of the PSR-E483, but adds additional sounds, more control options and more powerful amplification for live use.
With 890 sounds, including 19 Super Articulation Lite Voices, play realistic instruments with added detail and dynamics. The 345 accompaniment styles provide a complete band experience, while features such as Auto Chord Play, Live Control Knobs, pitch bend and modulation wheel give your playing more freedom. The PSR-E583 is suitable for home use, rehearsals and performances.
The clear display and logical panel layout allow you to quickly switch between sounds, styles and effects. This keeps the focus on playing and creating.
Sounds and accompaniment
The PSR-E583 uses AWM Stereo Sampling and features a polyphony of 64 notes. Super Articulation Lite Voices add nuances such as string sounds and breathing, which is especially audible with solo instruments. With 345 styles, from pop and rock to dance, worship and world music, you'll play a variety of styles effortlessly. Auto Chord Play plays preset chord progressions automatically, so you can focus on melody, improvisation and sound design.
Effects and Performance
The DSP effects block consists of 41 DSP1 and 12 DSP2 effects, complemented by reverb, chorus and master EQ. Motion Effects enable or disable effects directly while playing. The PSR-E583 features two Live Control Knobs, a pitch bend as well as a modulation wheel, allowing you to adjust sounds in real time. This makes this model especially suitable for live performers who want to actively shape their sound.
Recording, sampling and connections
The USB Audio Recorder lets you record your playing directly as a WAV file. The looper function and Quick Sampling allow you to capture musical phrases, rhythms or sounds and use them immediately. Thanks to its powerful 12W + 12W built-in amplification, the PSR-E583 delivers more volume and headroom than the PSR-E483. In addition, this model features a microphone input with vocal effects, AUX input, stereo L/R outputs for PA connection and support for a volume foot controller.

Difference between Yamaha PSR-E483 and PSR-E583:
The PSR-E583 features 890 sounds, compared to 860 sounds on the PSR-E483. In addition, the PSR-E583 offers more Super Articulation Lite Voices, making instruments respond to your playing in even more detail. You'll notice this difference especially with solo instruments and expressive parts. When it comes to sound, the PSR-E583 also delivers more. At 12W + 12W, the built-in amplification is significantly more powerful than the PSR-E483's 6W + 6W, providing more volume and headroom. This makes the PSR-E583 more suitable for use in larger rooms or during performances.
In terms of controls, the PSR-E583 offers additional expression possibilities thanks to the addition of a modulation wheel. This allows you to further shape sounds in real time. In addition, this model supports a volume foot controller, giving extra control while playing. These features are missing from the PSR-E483.
Due to more powerful amplification, the PSR-E583 is slightly heavier than the PSR-E483. In return, you get a keyboard that is better equipped for live situations and players who want maximum control.
Summary:
The PSR-E483 is an excellent choice for home use and practice, while the PSR-E583 stands out with more tones, more expression and a more powerful sound for live applications.
