The Adam Audio S3H is an active horizontal 3-way studio monitor ideal for use in the midfield position. Delivering the power and precision that professional engineers expect from a reference-class monitor, this monitor makes every detail of high-quality full-range audio heard with clarity and purity. Developed in Berlin to the highest standards, the third-generation S Series uses innovative technology. For example, the S3H features the Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) woofer, the DCH midrange driver and the S-ART tweeter, an even more precise version of Adam Audio's renowned ribbon design.

With an impressive frequency range of 30 Hz to 50 kHz, a very stable and wide stereo image, powerful PWM ICE quad amplification and extremely low distortion, the Adam Audio S3H offers world-class monitoring you can always rely on.

Two 7" ELE woofers
The Adam Audio S3H is equipped with two 7" Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) woofers designed specifically for the S Series. These woofers are the result of years of internal research and utilize the latest technological and material innovations. Thanks to the Symmetrical Magnet Assembly (SMA) design, the woofers deliver a tight and powerful low frequency response, with a wide dynamic range and without unwanted coloration. The ELE woofers feature a rigid yet lightweight honeycomb cone, an efficient self-cooling linear magnet system, linear suspension and damping with a low-loss edge finish, a vented symmetrical voice coil and an optimized chassis. Because of this construction, the frequency response of the S3H extends to 30 Hz. This allows this monitor to be used effortlessly as a main monitor in medium to large studios, without the need for a subwoofer.

4" DCH midrange driver
The Adam Audio S3H features a 4" DCH midrange driver with a unique hybrid dome/cone construction. Developed specifically for the S Series by Adam Audio engineers, this driver provides extremely accurate reproduction of the crucial midrange. This allows you to place vocals and instruments in the stereo image with ease and ensures that your mix stands up well outside the studio. The DCH midrange combines the advantages of both dome and cone drivers: detailed, musical reproduction without listening fatigue, even during long sessions.

S-ART folded-ribbon tweeter
For the high end, the S3H uses the S-ART folded-ribbon tweeter, handcrafted in Berlin to the strictest tolerances. Instead of a traditional piston motion, this tweeter uses a folded diaphragm that can move air up to four times faster than the folds themselves move. The result is an impressive high frequency response up to 50 kHz, with exceptional detail and faithful reproduction of every nuance in the source material. Each tweeter is carefully tested, ensuring consistent quality and precision.

Proprietary Waveguide Technology
Both the DCH midrange driver and the S-ART tweeter benefit from Adam Audio's proprietary waveguide technology. The newly developed Midrange Propagation System (MPS) and High-frequency Propagation System (HPS), milled from solid aluminum, ensure stable and wide dispersion. This keeps the stereo image accurate even when multiple people in a larger control room are working in the sweet spot at the same time.

Custom DSP engine for linear response
The Adam Audio S3H is equipped with an advanced DSP engine based on the latest SHARC technology. This DSP optimizes the crossovers of the speakers and ensures a fully linear frequency response. In addition, it offers extensive sound tuning and room-tuning capabilities, including various voicing options. The DSP also controls high-frequency protection with a limiter, processes signals from the AES3 digital inputs and allows for future expansion. Updates are easily performed via the USB connection, which also serves to control the DSP functions via software on the computer.

Powerful ICE Power amplification
For a main monitor in the control room, powerful and reliable amplification is essential. The Adam Audio S3H features a custom developed PWM ICE Power quad amplification with a total power output of 1,350 watts. Two 500W Class D amplifiers drive the 7" woofers, while the 4" DCH midrange has its own 300W amplifier and the S-ART tweeter is driven by a separate 50W amplifier. This combination of high-quality drivers and powerful, efficient amplification delivers unprecedented precise and controlled reproduction, suitable for the most demanding professional applications.

In addition, the forward port placement allows the monitor to be positioned close to walls without loss of sound quality.
