The new and upgraded AC-series guitars take the Eastman collection to a whole new level of modern western acoustic guitar design and sound. This 622 Grand Auditorium just has so many beautiful and hi-end details and sounds cristal clear with lots of body and dynamics.In terms of tone-woods, the fundaments for this guitar are a full solid Englemann spruce top and a stunning figured, solid flamed maple back and side. The back is tastefully finished, giving it a subtle and rustic burst. Front and back bodybindings are natural flamed maple. The fingerboard and bridge are both ebony, but just look at those crafty done inlays with leaves as position marks and matching inlay on the headstock...oof! As upgrade features -both aesthetically as well as comfort enhancing- Eastman introduces a maple inlayed bevel cut and a projection sound hole towards the player located in the upper bout. This last feature make the guitar sound HUGE and very rich as well!Like all AC-series guitars, the 622 is pre-fitted with a pickup. For this model, Eastman choose a LR Baggs Element VTC (volume and tone control).
