The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-4 is a compact performance mixer that you assemble yourself. This new model from the Nu:Tekt series is designed for electronic setups featuring compact synthesizers, drum machines, effects units, and modular gear. Thanks to its 3.5 mm mini-jack inputs, the NTS-4 connects seamlessly to devices such as the Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-1 mkII, Nu:Tekt NTS-3 Kaoss Pad kit, Korg volcas, and other compact sound modules.
Despite its small size, the Nu:Tekt NTS-4 is more than just a simple mini-mixer. You get 2 mono channels and 4 stereo channels, internal digital effects, an effects loop, mute and cue functions per channel, USB audio/MIDI, and 6.3 mm jack outputs for connecting to professional audio equipment. This makes the NTS-4 suitable for home studios, live setups, desktop production, and compact electronic rigs.
Build it yourself, no soldering required
Like other Nu:Tekt products, the Korg NTS-4 comes as a kit. You assemble the mixer yourself, but no soldering is required. This makes the NTS-4 appealing to musicians and producers who enjoy building their own gear but lack technical soldering experience. Once assembled, you have a compact mixer with an aluminum chassis that fits well with a desktop setup or live performance setup.
2 mono and 4 stereo channels
The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-4 is equipped with 2mono inputs and4 stereo inputs, all as 3.5 mm mini-jacks. This connects well to many compact synthesizers, grooveboxes, and effects units. The mono channels have their own pan control, allowing you to position them precisely within the stereo image. An important detail is that the 2 mono channels can also operate at Eurorack level via internal switches. This means you can use the NTS-4 not only with line-level gear but also within a modular synthesizer setup. This makes the mixer a handy link between desktop synths, Eurorack modules, and your studio or live rig.

Internal Effects and External Effects Loop
Each channel has its own send control for the internal digital effects. You can choose from delay, ping-pong delay, hall reverb, slap reverb, and chorus. This allows you to instantly give individual channels more space, movement, or character without having to connect an additional effects unit. In addition, the Korg NTS-4 features a stereo effects loop. This allows you to incorporate external effects into your setup, such as a delay pedal, reverb unit, Kaoss Pad, or other effects unit. This way, you can combine the mixer’s internal effects with your own favorite outboard or desktop effects.
Total Effects for the Stereo Mix
In addition to the send effects, the NTS-4 features a second effects processor for the stereo sum. This allows you to process the entire mix with one of the 10 total effects. Available effects include LPF, HPF, isolator, flanger, phaser, decimator, drive, distortion, compressor, and limiter. This makes the mixer ideal for live performance, as you can quickly filter, thicken, or dynamically control the entire mix.
Mute and Cue per Channel
For live use, mute and cue functions are essential. That’s why every channel on the Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-4 has its own mute button and cue function. Mute instantly removes a channel from the mix. Cue lets you listen to a channel through headphones without the signal going to the master output. This is useful for live sets, DJ-style transitions, improvisation, and preparing the next sound.
USB Audio/MIDI Interface The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-4 features a built-in USB audio/MIDI interface. Via USB, you can use the mixer for digital recording with a computer or smart device. The interface supports 24-bit audio input and output. Additionally, MIDI signals received via USB can be routed to the 3.5 mm MIDI output. This allows you to synchronize connected hardware with your DAW’s tempo.
Professional outputs in a compact format
On the output side, the Korg NTS-4 uses two 6.3 mm jack main outputs. This allows you to easily connect the mixer to audio interfaces, mixers, active monitors, or live sound equipment. A 3.5 mm headphone output is provided for monitoring. Power is supplied via USB-C or an optional 9V power adapter.
