Do You Speak Synth?

GAIA 2's newly developed sound engine puts an inexhaustible source of sound exploration at your fingertips. Build familiar sounds inspired by synthesizer icons past and present. Then dive into the unique phase and shape modulation tools to create sophisticated textures with complex overtones impossible with traditional analog synths. Need something more extreme? Flip open the Drive knob in the multimode filter section for even more grit and power. Whatever you're looking for, from soft tones reminiscent of vintage synths to sharp, biting leads and sci-fi soundscapes, GAIA 2 can do it all.

Wavetable

In addition to the familiar waveforms we all know and love, GAIA 2's wavetable oscillator section offers multiple waveforms. You can jump between these waveforms or transform them gradually, resulting in everything from dramatic changes to slowly evolving textures. The addition of the wavetable oscillator brings high-contrast textures into your mix and leads to unexpected and exciting results.

Virtual Analog

GAIA 2 gives you the tools to accurately mimic the most famous analog synthesizers of all time or create entirely new sounds you've never heard before. Two virtual analog oscillators provide the building blocks for synthesis, allowing you to reproduce classic sounds from the past or design completely new sounds. Think of the sound you want and start tweaking to bring it to life.

Touch the Sound

GAIA 2's intuitive workflow makes it fast, easy and fun to create sounds. The layout with one control per panel lets you program directly without getting lost in complex menus. And with streamlined buttons and the white anodized aluminum panel, it looks inspiring, too. Just wait until you see it light up under stage lights!

See the Sound

The informative display stands prominently in the center. This shows the audio output waves and recorded movements of the Motional Pad. At a glance, you'll understand what's happening, even with the most complex sounds.

Classic Education

GAIA 2 supports Roland Model Expansions, which accurately recreate iconic synthesizers from our long history. Switch directly between the built-in sound engine and classics such as the SH-101,* JUPITER-8 or JUNO-106 with a dedicated button. Each Model Expansion is fully compatible with GAIA 2's workflow, allowing you to put a fresh spin on vintage sounds with on-panel controls and create new music with the sequencer. *The SH-101 Model Expansion is pre-installed. Additional Model Expansion titles are available through Roland Cloud.
