The Roland TR-1000 is a professional drum machine and sampler that brings together analog sounds, digital sound engines and advanced sequencing in one instrument. With the authentic analog circuits of the TR-808 and TR-909, powerful digital models and extensive sampling capabilities, the TR-1000 offers a complete hybrid solution for producers and live performers. Whether you want to create classic beats or explore new electronic rhythms, the TR-1000 is built to push boundaries in studio and on stage!
The future of beats built on legends
The Roland TR-1000 is a groundbreaking drum machine that continues the legacy of the iconic TR-808 and TR-909. With a unique hybrid setup - analog circuits, digital engines and a powerful sampler - the TR-1000 offers everything producers and performers need to shape modern rhythms. For the first time in more than 40 years, Roland has integrated a true analog sound generator into a drum machine. The TR-1000 contains 16 original circuits from the TR-808 and TR-909, carefully redesigned with modern components. So you get that unmistakable punch and warmth, but now with a wider dynamic range and additional parameters for more creative freedom.

Digital engines for endless variety
In addition to its analog core, the TR-1000 provides a range of digital sound sources. The ACB engine contains 75 models, including 21 circuit-bent variants of the 808 and 909 that take sound design into new territories. FM synthesis enables metallic percussion sounds and abstract sounds, while VA synthesis and PCM samples provide solid bass lines, rich synth textures and modern digital layers. Combined with the analog engine, this creates a hybrid system that enables both classic beats and futuristic soundscapes.
Comprehensive sampling and memory
The TR-1000 is equipped with a professional sampler that supports stereo sampling and resampling, complete with BPM sync and real-time time-stretching. Slice-editing allows you to divide samples into up to sixteen parts, giving plenty of creative options for loops and one-shots. The internal memory is 64 GB, of which 46 GB is available for your own sounds. In addition, the sampler supports imports of WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC and M4A. Together with over 2,000 pre-installed samples, the TR-1000 offers an arsenal of sounds ready for any production or performance.
Powerful effects - analog and digital
Sound creation goes beyond just the engines. The TR-1000 features a wide range of effects, including a new analog State Variable Filter (SVF) inspired by classic OTA designs and a dedicated analog drive for extra punch. There are also digital effects such as crusher, isolator, saturator, flanger, pitch delay and scatter. Each track can be equipped with reverb and delay sends, while the master FX take care of fine-tuning and finishing the overall mix.
Next-gen sequencing: from classic to experimental
The famous TR-REC workflow has been taken to the next level. You can choose from classic step programming, real-time recording or off-grid sequencing for a more natural groove. In doing so, the TR-1000 combines features such as cycle and probability settings, various step directions such as forward, backward and pendulum, and motion recording that makes parameter automation easy to capture. With a total of four layer tracks, six single tracks and an exclusive trigger track, you can create patterns that not only sound tight, but also stay in constant motion and evolve.
Connectivity for studio and stage
The TR-1000 can be effortlessly integrated into any setup. It features a stereo mix out and an analog FX out, complemented by ten individual outputs that can also be used as trigger-outs for external devices. For sampling and effect processing, dual mono or stereo inputs are available. In addition, the TR-1000 offers extensive connectivity options via MIDI I/O, DIN sync, clock out and a filter CV input. The USB-C multi-channel audio/MIDI interface provides direct integration with a computer, while the USB-A port provides support for Roland controllers or importing samples via a flash drive. With these extensive connections, the TR-1000 is fully ready for both modern studios and live rigs.
TR-1000 App
The free TR-1000 App is the perfect complement to the hardware and effortlessly integrates the drum machine into your computer environment. A large and clear screen gives you direct access to all sound editing parameters, allowing you to precisely tweak and organize sounds. The built-in librarian functions make managing kits and patterns clear and efficient: you can save, edit and organize presets so you can always quickly find the right sound. In addition, the app provides an intuitive workflow for importing samples in different formats, which significantly speeds up the process of expanding and personalizing your sound library. Thanks to the TR-1000 App, you work even more flexibly and get the most out of both hardware and your digital studio setup.
