Sennheiser MD 421 II

The Sennheiser MD421 II has a rugged housing and vintage design. This dynamic mic has a cardioid pickup pattern and is suitable for both vocals and instruments. Especially on guitar cabinets, often combined with that other iconic dynamic mic, the MD 421 II gives you tremendous tonal capabilities. The addition of some full mids and taming of the high shrillness through phase makes this a fat in your face and extremely useful signal.

The Sennheiser MD 421 II has a bass roll-off switch with five positions. The microphone is insensitive to handling noise. The microphone has a remarkably full, dynamic and open sound. The frequency response runs linearly from 30 Hz to 17 kHz. The high frequencies are slightly boosted, which improves intelligibility.
