Motion Control: dynamic expression
The heart of the MODX M-Series is Yamaha's Motion Control Synthesis Engine, which lets you combine the three sound engines into one vibrant performance. The large Super Knob gives real-time control over multiple parameters simultaneously - ideal for fluidly changing sounds as you play. Motion Sequences and an Envelope Follower let you automate effects, filters and modulations based on tempo or incoming sound. Seamless integration with your studio
The MODX M8 is also a full-fledged USB audio/MIDI interface. Via a single cable, you send up to 10 channels of audio out and 4 in (24-bit / 44.1 kHz) directly to your computer. That means direct recording into your DAW without an additional interface. Compatible with Windows, macOS and iOS, the MODX M8 comes with Cubase AI and an ESP Plugin download code, allowing you to use the full sound engine as a software plugin as well. In addition, the synth features MIDI in/out, stereo audio inputs, line and headphone outputs, and connections for foot pedals and sustain.

The MODX M8 is equipped with more than 275 effects, including high-quality reverbs, delays, chorus, compressors, amp simulations and Yamaha's VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modeling) technology for analog heat.
