The Yamaha Revstar has since become a true icon with its unique design and highly diverse sound. Made famous by artists such as Chris Buck, Matteo Mancuso and Alicia Rei Kim. Revstar offers the balance between Japanese innovation and traditional craftsmanship. Modern features enhance playability, versatility and tone, while the design references classic Yamaha electric guitars dating back to 1966.
Elements
The Revstar Elements is the first line in the Revstar series and offers true Revstar quality at a slightly smaller price point. The Yamaha proprietary pickups offer a very diverse sound, and with the dry switch you go from the fat and full humbucker sound to a more bright and punchy sound. This dry switch functions the same way as a coil-split, but without letting any extra noise through.
Chambered
Revstars owe their bright sound, among other things, to their chambered body. This means that the wood the body is made of is hollowed out in specific places to make the body more resonant. Besides this extra tone quality, it has the nice side effect of making the guitar a lot lighter as well.
