The Duesenberg Starplayer CBR is yet another take on the wildly popular and bruisingly good Starplayer TV series. The Starplayer CBR offers a cambered mahogany body with a beautiful Flat Maple top (maple). This gives the CBR a slightly more aggressive and fuller tone that reminds us of a more traditional single cut guitar. The neck construction, of course, is again a one-piece maple set neck with a small block heel, and a rosewood fretboard.
The Starplayer CBR is equipped with an extremely versatile combination of pickups: a bright Grand Vintage humbucker at the bridge and a warm and creamy Domino P90 at the neck. Duesenberg Pickups are known for their distinctive, bright and versatile sound that easily rises above it all, from mellow jazz to powerful rock. The creamy Domino P90 at the neck position and the classic-sounding GrandVintage Humbucker at the bridge form a versatile dream team that many have tried to emulate.
The acclaimed middle position heavy-duty 5-position switch features special wiring that filters out certain low frequencies from the humbucker signal. The result is an open, funky and extremely versatile addition to your sound palette.
