The Arturia MatrixBrute combines the powerful analog sound of the Brute series with an innovative routing and sequencing matrix. This gives you the full flexibility of a modular synthesizer, without the hassle of loose patch cables. Yet the MatrixBrute fits seamlessly into your modular setup thanks to its 12-in/12-out CV section for extensive analog connectivity.

With classic elements such as a 4-mode Steiner-Parker filter and a 3-mode ladder filter, this synth offers broad sound shaping capabilities. The 64-step sequencer and the ability to instantly recall 256 presets make this instrument extra powerful. Moreover, the full-size 49-key keyboard provides excellent playability, making the MatrixBrute not only versatile, but also a pleasure to play on.

Steiner-Parker filter: versatile analog sound

The MatrixBrute is equipped with a Steiner-Parker filter, an essential part of its full, analog sound. This diode filter, known from the legendary Synthacon of the 1970s, offers four filter modes: lowpass, bandpass, highpass and notch. A big advantage is that the resonance can be turned up considerably without losing volume, allowing you to retain sharp, expressive sounds without sacrificing power.

In addition to the Steiner-Parker filter, the MatrixBrute also features a traditional ladder filter, ideal for deep bass and aggressive leads. Both filters offer the ability to switch between 2-pole and 4-pole modes, so you can choose between a smooth, detailed sweep or a fast, pronounced filter curve.

Powerful modulation routing and 64-step sequencer

The MatrixBrute sets itself apart with an impressive 256-point modulation routing, allowing you to map each of the 16 modulation assignments to 16 destinations. This opens up a world of sound possibilities. Modulation values come from the three LFOs, the three envelope generators, the modulation wheel, aftertouch and more. Thanks to this flexible routing, the sound design options are virtually endless.

In addition to modulation, the Matrix also serves as a comprehensive 64-step sequencer, perfect for programming dynamic synthwave patterns and futuristic retro sequences. This makes the MatrixBrute powerful not only as a sound design tool, but also as an inspiration for complex rhythmic compositions.

Fully analog vintage effects

The MatrixBrute is equipped with a true analog effects section, allowing you to enrich your sound even further. Create wide, warm pads with the deep stereo chorus, while the bucket-brigade delays - in both stereo and mono - provide organic, spatial echoes. For extra movement and texture, there's a vintage flanger, perfect for layered and dynamic sounds.
