The Bourgeois Downeast Soloist OMCE; inspired by the coast of Maine and hand-voiced for a rich, dynamic sound.
This classic OM takes on a new role as a true soloist with this model, thanks to Bourgeois' elegant soft cutaway. This subtle cutaway provides effortless access to the higher positions on the neck, while keeping the instrument true to a classic, vintage-inspired look. The cutaway is carefully designed to maintain the perfect balance between soundboard surface area, soundbox volume and string tension, keeping the guitar's natural voice and resonance fully intact.
The top of Aged Tone, torrefied Sitka spruce is combined with a back and sides of Indian Rosewood. From the very first touch, this wood combination provides a mature, open sound with rich warmth, excellent clarity and impressive depth. The response is dynamic and sensitive, giving full expression to both subtle fingerstyle playing and more powerful attack.
With its understated, tasteful finish and refined craftsmanship, the OMCE convincingly continues the Bourgeois Soloist tradition. The result is a perfectly balanced acoustic guitar that brings together expressive tone, exceptional playing comfort and timeless aesthetics in one inspiring instrument.
