In addition to the Canadian custom shop basses, you can also find more affordable "Ready to Play" basses at Dingwall. You'll find three models here; Combustion, Combustion NG and the D-Roc. Dingwall joined forces with Adam "Nolly" Getgood -bassist and producer at tech-metal icons Periphery- to fine tune the regular Combustion specifically for his discipline. This makes the Combustion NG perhaps the ultimate instrument for the metal genre after all, although this bass is also fine for other genres. The tight low end of this model is unmistakable and unmatched.
The Combustion NG has an alder body, 5-piece maple neck and is only available with maple fingerboard. Of course, we see the multiscale division from 34" to 37" (for a 5-string) in this bass as well. The frets are stainless steel. Almost obvious with this bass is the implementation of the Darkglass Tone Capsule pre amp. The elements are 2 or 3 (NG2 or NG3) pieces of Dingwall FD-3N. By the way, there are conversion kits available for the NG2s to turn them into an NG3. We can then fascilitate this as well. The NG is available as a 4, 5 and 6 string version and in several spectacular solid colors.
