Duesenberg Alliance Mike Campbell II

Mike Campbell (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Fleetwood Mac) has been on board for many years as a representative artist for Duesenberg. The Campbell version of both the Starplayer TV and also the Fullerton have become icons in their own right because of their specific and beautiful looks.

It's no great mystery where Duesenberg drew inspiration for the design of the Fullerton Hollow; in many ways, this fully hollow ES335-type guitar has similarities to the Epiphone Casino. Its airy, dynamic and responsive tone is unmistakable for 60's beat rockers, but have no fear; the Fullerton Hollow is also perfect for jazzy sounds. That, combined with its traditional and -by Duesenberg standards- understated appearance, this model is clearly the most conservative model in the Duesenberg family. But in this Mike Campbell version, it is certainly not conservative in terms of looks. This "full-hollowbody" has a fully hollow body (no center block) with an arched spruce top, laminated maple sides and back and is finished with racing stripes on a beautiful red flake lacquer. The neck is one piece maple with 25.5" scale and a rosewood fingerboard The pickups are two Duesenberg Domino P90s and -in line with tradition- a classic tailpiece with a pinned bridge (instead of a tremolo) was chosen.
