Eastman T486B Classic

What a beautiful guitar is this Eastman semi-hollow.... Truly stunning. Punches high above it's weight with high-end materials used.

The T486B is a variation of the T486. Naturally, this "B" version is equipped with a Bigsby. Something you may not notice at first glance, but is significantly different from the regular T486, are the Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90s. This gives a totally different sound and character to the guitar because with the Phat Cat's the T486 suddenly sounds very fresh -almost twangy even- and open; a very cool poppy sound. Those Phat Cat's by the way, are P90's in the format of a regular humbucker, so should you consider adding humbuckers to the guitar at a later date, no problem.

Furthermore, the specifications of the T486 and the T486B are similar to each other; laminated maple body with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard. A very familiar combination of "ingredients," but Eastman has not been shy when it comes to the beautiful details; beautiful flamed maple outer ply for the body all around, split parallelogram block inlay, ivory binding around the neck, body and f-holes.

For optimal resonance of the wood, the T486B is finished with a True-tone finish; a very thin and acoustically transparent polyurethane-based lacquer developed by the prestigious Bourgeous Guitars. Truly a bang-for-a-buck!
