The Premier DC is D'angelico's entry-level double cut, center block / semi-hollowbody. Or in other words; an ES type following a classic recipe, but with its own twist and above all very well done.
The Premier series is really an awesome introduction (understatement) to such guitars whose versatility never ceases to amaze us. And that certainly also applies to the Premier DC, with which you can handle basically any genre without getting the feeling of "neither meat / nor fish". On the contrary; with this DC you lay a very solid foundation of guitar sound in any situation that is actually just different from all other traditional and iconic guitar models. The Premier series are thus also well suited for the seasoned guitarist who already has a nice collection, but simply wants a "flavor" to it.

For the 2023 collection, the Premier Hollowbody Series has received a significant upgrade. For example, this collection comes standard with USA Supro Bolt Bucker elements; a high-quality classic PAF style humbucker. In addition, D'angelico has further improved the finish and material selection. Striking details are the rosewood potentiometer knobs and the very dark, almost ebony, pau ferro used for the fingerboard. In addition, on this latest version of the Premier you will still find the Grover Super Rotomatic's. All in all, the difference from the more expensive Deluxe or Excel models becomes only slight! The stylish Black Flake is back with a vengeance!
