The innovative Split/King coil concept of extending a real singlecoil to a full humbucker with a fine-tuned seperate coil enables you to access both pickup sounds with the flick of a switch. The Split/King actually houses a real, full-size singlecoil pickup that can stand on its own compared to your regular split humbucker. It's not just 2 pickups; it's actually 4! This pickup is the pinnacle of Duesenberg's component design and delivers a maximum of versatility.
The two mode-select switches located at the lower pickguard can be raised or lowered inside the pickguard with a small elevator mechanism. This allows your to set them high when you want them easily accessible, or low when you like to set your tone and not have them in the way.
