The SC204 is the first and smallest studio monitor in the EVE Audio line. This 4" monitor has an impressive 64Hz to 21kHz frequency range. And with 100w output power and 96dB SPL rating, despite its small size, this is certainly no small sapling. With EVE Audio's patented AMT tweeter you get an unprecedentedly fair and detailed reproduction, and with the internal DSP the SC204 can still be tuned to your liking.

The SC204 uses a 4" SilverCone woofer with honeycomb textured diaphragm, driven by an advanced low-distortion copper magnet system and a 1" voice coil responsible for greater linear excursion. This provides greater dynamics than you would expect from a monitor of such small dimensions. In addition to the unsurpassed audio transparency of our proprietary AMT tweeter and PWM amplifier combination, this SC204 will surprise you with a very powerful, tight and precise low end.
The Air Motion Transformer
The AMT tweeter is EVE's own patented technology that follows the rule of no off-the-shelf components to achieve superior results. The accuracy and detail of the high frequency range of EVE monitors, combined with the overall tightness of the bass and midrange, make the SC204 an excellent speaker that can easily be used on the road (thanks to its smaller size) or as a second pair of speakers alongside your main setup.
Understanding the Air Motion Transformer
The Air Motion Transformer (AMT) is a unique driver technology that sets it apart from other audio drivers. It uses a lightweight, hand-folded diaphragm that is thinly coated with aluminum. The flow of the music signal passes through these conductive wires.
The diaphragm is placed in a powerful magnetic field, causing the folds to move as a result of the Lorentz force. Due to the opposite direction of the current, the walls of each individual fold work against each other. The air between the folds is forced in and out at a ratio of 1:4, compared to the 1:1 ratio of an ordinary dome tweeter.
This results in higher resolution and dynamics in the tweeter section, along with very low distortion levels, enabling superior sound quality with enhanced detail and clarity.
The Smart Knob
The smart knob on the front panel of the monitor controls both the volume and the internal DSP. Turn the knob and adjust the volume. Press the knob and you get control over high and mid frequencies, a desk setting that mutes around 200 Hz and boosts around 90 Hz to compensate for desk reflections and a low-shelf to boost or eliminate. The LEDs here can also be turned off if you wish.
