Novation MiniNova

The Novation MiniNova is a compact 37-key synthesizer/vocoder with mini-keys, but delivers performance you would normally expect only from larger models. With 256 built-in presets and real-time controls, you creatively edit and distort not only sounds, but also your voice. The MiniNova uses the same powerful sound engine as the larger UltraNova. Thanks to the 20-slot modulation routing, you link different synth modules together and create impressive, complex sounds. The built-in arpeggiator lets you play rhythmic patterns and riffs that you can easily set up yourself.

Connect the MiniNova to your computer via USB and also use it as a MIDI controller in your studio setup. MiniNova: the compact synth with big ambitions
The Novation MiniNova takes its character from its big brother, the UltraNova. This little powerhouse is equipped with the same advanced sound engine and comes with no less than 256 professional presets. With five rotary knobs and eight 'Animate' knobs, you effortlessly adjust or completely transform the sounds. In addition, the MiniNova has a built-in voice-tune function as well as a classic vocoder. All in a compact, uncluttered design that is ready for both the stage and the studio.

Powerful synth engine packed with effects
The MiniNova has one of the most comprehensive synth engines you'll find in this format. You get 14 waveforms (such as square, sine, sawtooth, pulse and triangle, plus variations), 36 wavetables and 20 digital waveforms. Each of the three oscillators per voice has features like Density/detune for extra width, Virtual Sync and Hardness - which works as an extra lowpass filter. In terms of filters, there are 14 different types to choose from, two of which you can use simultaneously. Furthermore, you get six envelope generators, three LFOs and a modulation router with 20 slots in which you can combine synth modules into complex and expressive patches. The effects are equally impressive: you can add up to five effects per voice, including distortion, reverb, compression, EQ, chorus/phaser, delay and Novation's own Gator effect.

Full control with knobs and functions
The Novation MiniNova is packed with powerful options for shaping your sound in detail. Of course there are physical rotary knobs to adjust your sounds, but what really sets the MiniNova apart are the eight illuminated "Animate" knobs. These activate real-time modulations in the synth engine, instantly bringing your patches to life as you play. A large dial for filter cutoff ensures that you always have quick access to the filter, no matter what you're doing at the time. In addition, the MiniNova is equipped with a 33-pattern arpeggiator. The eight knobs allow you to play with these patterns live, creating completely new sequences during your performance.
